This is the lilly I was shooting this week for the Macro assignment. I decided to go with a different shot, but I liked this enough that I wanted to post it.

This is a fairly little flower that was tucked alongside a lilly that I was shooting for this week's assignment. After shooting the lilly, I worked around the arrangement looking for other interesting shots. I really like the colors, pattern and details.Press "L" to check it out on black. Let me know what you think...

Submitted for Week #52 of my "52 in 2013" flickr group given the theme of "My Own Favorite Shot".This is an Australian Spotted Jellyfish. I captured the image at the California Academy of Science during our family vacation in SanFrancisco this year. There were many in the tank, and they were no bigger than 4 inches in length. I pressed my lens to the glass and tracked this guy until there were no other jellies in the scene. I think they are beautiful creatures, and it turned out to be one of my favorite images of the year.Press "L" and check it out on a black background to see the color really pop...
